Albany's
first lounge, blue 82 opened in May 2005 and has since become
an award winning favorite. Offering specials every night
of the week, fresh sushi nightly, and according to Times Union
readers the "Best Cocktails in the Capital District."

A sophisticated, “over the top” vision of the
circus enlivens the dining and drinking experience with old-fashioned
circus theme murals, lights that transform the walls from
pale yellow to deep red, hand-blown Venetian chandeliers,
and lush red and gold velvet curtains for privacy between
tables. A colorful drink menu and wine list perfectly compliments
the food and ambiance.
The closest thing to a Manhattan jazz club. Fabulous jazz
themed Wren Panzella paintings in a nicely lit narrow dining
room, one of the nicest sounding baby grands around (Sonny
loves it --- Victoria always keeps it tuned). And speaking
of Victoria... manager/hostess with the mostest, beautiful
lady, heart & soul, Perley's soul-sista! The warmth in
this acclaimed jazz room exudes from her & her very efficient
staff. Definitely one of our favorite places to let loose!
Seating
options include high and traditional tables in the room that
faces New Scotland Avenue, as well as bar seating a little
beyond that room. A muted hallway takes you past the kitchen’s
pickup window, past a baby grand piano and into another, tavern-like
room with large windows opening on Ontario Street. Best seating
to hear & see us is at the long table right in front of
the piano. A list of 22 tapas dishes is priced from $4.50
for a serving of cured olives to $15 for an arrangement of
cheese and pâté. Most popular is the pan-seared
sea bass with polenta ($9).
Wine Down Lounge Brand
New room! Nice listening room with stage. Located in Schenctady's
historic Stockade district. Sonny is booking the entertainment!
The restaurant offers 16 wines by the glass, dinner entrees
cost about $10 to $18 and include a duo of beef tenderloin
and salmon croquette ($15.95) and Hawaiian-influenced lomi-lomi
chicken with lavendar honey ($12.95).
