"I
really can't stay..... Baby, It's Cold Outside"

A
warm hello to you!
We are on the move ~ Soon to be on tour in the Sunshine
State!
However, we still have some wonderful performance venues
in NY (Albany, Mt. Vernon, Westport, Kingston, Pleasantville)
and CT (Suffield & Windsor) and we'd love to see y'all
before we hit the road.
Our
first performance in Florida is in Tampa on Feb. 24th. Next
is Naples, Ruskin, Estero, Valrico, 2 more in Naples, then
back to Tampa, Lehigh Acres, Venice, back to Tampa and finally
as tradition has it, ending up in Lady Lake at The Villages.
12 performances this year! We are ecstatically grateful
for another opportunity to
travel, warm up!, meet new people, and see friends and fans
~ including you
snowbirds!
We are
dedicating 50% of our cd sales for the next few months to
two specific
Haitian causes. One is for the family of a friend of ours
and the other is an
orphanage through To Love A Child [www.toloveachild.org]
~ So, if you've wanted to purchase cds and/or gifts for
someone, this is a propitious time to do it.
In
light of all that is happening in world events, our little
newsletter/calendar
sometimes seems a bit incongruous and insignificant. Bottom
line is ... it is still
our calling to lighten hearts and bring a bit of happiness,
peace and laughter to
our little corner of the world through music and community.
We pray that we will
remain faithful to that calling.
May we meet soon again in good health and spirits!
Sonny & Perley
P.S.
Descriptions of our special shows may be found
on our "Booking" page.
Our personal descriptions of venues are
below the calendar listings on this page. Many of
our venues have websites. Check them out --- if they are
not part of the date descriptions they are at the bottom
of the page --- and always be sure to call for reservations
(and/or confirmation if you're driving a long way).

an award winning favorite. Offering specials every night

Very noisy, very popular happy hour; we play in the window

Strictly for fun. No serious listening. Great sushi!

BRAZILIAN
RESTAURANT AND PUB

Caffè Lena is widely recognized as the oldest continuously
operating coffeehouse in the United States. It is an internationally
renowned cultural center and an American treasure. Opened
in 1960, the café has helped to launch many of America's
best loved songwriters, including Bob Dylan, Arlo Guthrie,
Ani DiFranco and many more.
Upon the death of our founder, Lena Spencer, in 1989, Caffè
Lena was converted to a non-profit institution which today
continues as a living legend: breathing in ideas, dreams,
and possibilities --breathing out music, poetry and theater.
Caffè Lena has always been a place where people renew
their faith in the power of music. They come up the stairs
and enter a room where a world-class performer is only feet
away from the audience, where they can see every movement
of fingers on frets and feel a foot tapping rhythm on the
stage.
Run by a small paid staff, a Board of Directors, and an ever-evolving
team of volunteers, the caffe is proud to stay true to Lena's
founding vision of simplicity, kindness to strangers, and
art above profit. Caffè Lena is now preparing for a
major renovation that will enhance access for disabled people
and bring greater comfort to all.

(Casual/funky).
A sophisticated, “over the top” vision of the
circus enlivens the dining and drinking experience with old-fashioned
circus theme murals, lights that transform the walls from
pale yellow to deep red, hand-blown Venetian chandeliers,
and lush red and gold velvet curtains for privacy between
tables. A colorful drink menu and wine list perfectly compliments
the food and ambiance.

Conkling
Hall,
a place for meetings and cultural events since 1905, continues
as a central community meeting place today. Built in 1839
as the Rensselaerville Methodist Church, the building was
bought by Francis Conkling Huyck early in the 20th century
and converted into a community meeting place. Community events,
from plays and concerts to meetings of local organizations,
are hosted in the Hall.

The closest thing to a Manhattan jazz club. Fabulous
jazz themed Wren Panzella paintings in a nicely lit narrow
dining room, one of the nicest sounding baby grands around
(Sonny loves it --- Victoria always keeps it tuned). And speaking
of Victoria... manager/hostess with the mostest, beautiful
lady, heart & soul, Perley's soul-sista! The warmth in
this acclaimed jazz room exudes from her & her very efficient
staff. Definitely one of our favorite places to let loose!

Ruby’s Hotel is an 1800’s architectural gem, lovingly
restored, and furnished with all the original tables, chairs,
lighting fixtures, Art Deco Bar and soda fountain. The charm
and warmth of the bar/bistro area greets you upon entering.
Enjoy fine dining in the back room amidst an amazing gallery
of original oil paintings depicting scenes of Provence, France,
all painted circa 1945. Our new out door creek side bar and
dining area is the place to be on those warm summer evenings.

Welcome
Aboard Our World on the Water
Lake Champlain is the largest freshwater lake in the U.S.
after the five Great Lakes, and is one of Vermont’s
most sought after destinations. The best way to enjoy the
lake is with a cruise aboard the 424 passenger Spirit of Ethan
Allen III. Discover the region’s rich history, as the
Captain’s narration unfolds tales of Indian lore, the
Revolutionary War, and Ethan Allen himself. Explore the depths
of the shoreline as the ship cruises alongside the lake’s
unique geographic formations. Savor the majestic beauty of
the Adirondack and Green Mountain ranges that surround the
lake. Bring your cameras--the largest recorded mass siting
of Champ, our elusive lake monster, was aboard the Spirit
of Ethan Allen I.

The only place we eat fried chicken! Please don't tell my
doctor! Authentic and very unique. A raised stage and nicely
lit dining room makes for great visability and good acoustics.
Pictures of jazz greats adorn the walls along with unique
African artwork. "Charlene" (our favorite waitress)
and "Rosaria & Hector"(from Peru) add a special
touch of warmth to this highly acclaimed dining room, celebrating
20 years in business!
